Here’s what should be in the garbage bin:

The hair spray container – as long as it is totally empty and not damaged, it is safe to put in the trash. Also the Glass Jar and the Styrofoam Cup. Noble Environmental no longer recycles glass. Also, it can be dangerous to workers and broken glass can contaminate the entire load of recycling. You’ll want to dispose of that in the trash safely by wrapping it in cloth or some heavy duty tape. And obviously Styrofoam is not recyclable.

Egg Carton, Cereal Box, Amazon Box and Pop Can. Look for a recycle symbol on your products, and if your community recycles, you can recycle all of those items!

Here’s what should be in the hazardous waste bin:

The fertilizer container and the oil container. A lot of garbage trucks now are powered by natural gas. You can imagine how dangerous and combustible fertilizers and oils could be for trash haulers. Contact your local municipality to learn how to properly dispose of those items, along with lithium batteries.
