Gas Plant Construction Continues, Engineer Says ‘This Process is Just Cool’

Experts from around the region are coming together to finalize plans for a $10 million gas plant project being constructed by Nobel Environmental at Westmoreland Sanitary Landfill.
Once completed, the project will improve greenhouse emissions by collecting landfill gas and converting it into valuable natural gas that can be used to power homes and vehicles.

Aerospace Engineer and Noble Environmental consultant Charlie Anderson said, “Every molecule of methane that is recovered from landfill gas can be injected into pipelines as natural gas. It is an absolute win for everybody.” Anderson continued, “That’s why I tell everyone that this process is just cool!”
